Born on 58th & Pine Street
What started as a neighborhood music event has grown into West Philadelphia's most anticipated annual community celebration.
How It All Started
Weststock was founded by the 5800 Block Committee with a simple but powerful idea: create a platform for local musicians and performers who deserve more exposure, while building a positive event that strengthens community bonds.
The festival was born out of a desire to promote anti-violence initiatives and give the neighborhood something to celebrate together. Music became the vehicle. Community became the destination.
Over 11 years, Weststock has evolved from a block party into a full-scale community festival featuring live performances, food vendors, small business showcases, youth programs, school supply drives, and so much more.
